Other benefits that we provide all students with:

  • Learning resources derived from our approved EASA & UK CAA Part 147 course material

  • Chapter quizzes within each module to test your knowledge and progress,

  • Student forums where both instructors and students can interact, with response to any questions or queries posed being provided within a 48 hour window (Monday – Friday),

  • Essay writing guidance and video tutorials.

To allow your progression towards becoming an aircraft maintenance licence holder, we are able to offer our approved EASA & UK CAA Part 66 Category A1, B1.1 and B2 training material.

A Part 66 Category A1 certifying licence permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service following minor scheduled line maintenance and defect rectification within the limits of tasks specifically endorsed on the authorisation. The certification privileges are restricted to work the holder has personally performed in a Part-145 organisation.  The study material will provide you with the basic theoretical knowledge required for the category A1 role.

We can offer all the required modules as a self paced structured schedule of modules, which for a ‘beginner’ we advise will take approximately 16 months (including short breaks between modules).  The modules can also be purchased individually to suit your requirements.

A Part 66 Category B Licence permits the holder to issue certifications of release to service of aircraft following maintenance of aircraft structures, power plant, mechanical or avionic systems and electrical systems.

We can offer all the required modules as a self paced structured schedule of modules, which for a ‘beginner’ we advise will take approximately 3 years (this includes breaks during the summer and Christmas). The modules can also be purchased individually to suit your requirements.

Further information on the necessary components that form the framework of an European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA) Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) can be found here: Aircraft Maintenance Licence Framework

Additionally, we are able to offer Category B1 to B2 extension, Category B2 to B1 extension and a hybrid higher level Category B modules, (for those studying for a B1 and wishing to go on to study for a B2).
