This category B1 mathematics module covers the arithmetic, algebra, geometry and mathematics necessary to satisfy the EASA requirements. The module starts by looking at basic arithmetic operations involving fractions, decimals, percentages and ratios before moving on to investigate the use of different number bases. Linear, simultaneous equations are examined and quadratic equations are solved using different methods. This is followed by a look at trigonometry, the use of graphs to display data, and vector quantities; including the use of Cartesian and polar co-ordinates to add them up.
