Category A1 Modules available for study:

An EASA Category A1 certifying licence permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service following minor scheduled line maintenance and defect rectification within the limits of tasks specifically endorsed on the authorisation. The certification privileges are restricted to work the holder has personally performed in a Part-145 organisation.

The purpose of the course is to teach the individual the basic theoretical knowledge required for the category A1 role. The course is split into 12 modules as seen below.

  • Module 1: Mathematics
  • Module 2: Physics
  • Module 3: Electrical Fundamentals

  • Module 8: Aerodynamics
  • Module 11A: Aeroplanes Aerodynamics, Structures & Systems
  • Module 15: Gas Turbines

To allow your progression towards becoming a licence holder, we are able to offer our approved EASA Part 66 Category A1 training material on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The training material is modulised in accordance with EASA Part 66 syllabus and can be purchased as individual modules tailored to suit your needs or as part of a structured course.

The course pathway is a self paced structured schedule of modules, which for a ‘beginner’ we advise will take approximately 12-14 months (including short breaks between modules).

As part of the online learning package be it as an individual module or the structured course, we offer downloadable module notes and one exam attempt at our approved EASA Part 147 Examination Centre in Norwich, UK.  Another benefits that we provide all students with:

  • Chapter quizzes, written by our Technical College Instructors, within each module to test your knowledge and progress,

  • A student forum where both instructors and students can interact, and response will be provided from the within a 48 hour window (Monday – Friday),

  • Essay writing guidance and tutorial along with mock questions and answers.


Category B Modules available for study:


An EASA Category B Licence permits the holder to issue certifications of release to service of aircraft following maintenance of aircraft structures, power plant, mechanical or avionic systems and electrical systems.

To allow your progression towards becoming a licence holder, we are able to offer our approved EASA Part 66 Category B1.1 and B2 training material on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The training material is modulised in accordance with EASA Part 66 syllabus and can be purchased as individual modules tailored to suit your needs or as part of a structured course.

The course pathway is a self paced structured schedule of modules, which for a ‘beginner’ we advise will take approximately 3 years (this includes breaks during the summer and Christmas).

As part of the online learning package be it as an individual module or the structured course, we offer downloadable module notes and one exam attempt at our approved EASA Part 147 Examination Centre in Norwich, UK.  Benefits that we provide all students are the same as our Category A modules.

Please note that we are unable to provide any certification for completing just the online element of our Category A or B online courses.  We will, however, provide a ‘Certificate of Recognition Examination only’ if the associated module examination is passed when sat at our approved Part 147 Examination Centre.
